|Automatic PDF to TIFF Conversion|
Start the program and Press on the tab 'Auto Job'. This is the Window to set Automatic PDF file conversion.
After that, follow the steps given below to proceed:
Following are the steps in short and details are given below this description.
Step 1 - Save an input folder path(local or network folder) and output folder path(folder in which the image files will create) in the tool.
Step 2 - Close the tool to run it in background(silent).
Step 3 - Copy any number of PDF files into the input folder
A 'Job' means a workflow to handle the automatic conversion of PDF files.
-Press on the 'New Job' button. A popup window 'Create New Job' will be opened as shown below.
-Enter the name of Job. It can be any name like 'Job1', 'NewJob1' etc.
-Press on the browse button to Select the Watch Directory. Select the folder you want to watch the directory.
After saving this Job, all PDF files copying/falling into this directory will be automatically converted into Images.
-Press on 'Output Settings' button to configure the process settings. A popup window of 'Auto Job Settings' will be displayed as shown below:
-You can set to a suitable configuration using this window. Or press on Cancel button to choose the existing options.
-There are three sections in the Auto Job Settings window as follows
a)Output Settings - How to configure Output Settings
b)Email Reporting - How to configure Email Reporting
c)Advanced - How to configure Advanced Settings
-To set as default configuration, press on 'Reset' button in all three sections.
NB: Settings for Email Reporting will be common for All type(Manual and all Auto) of processes.
-After choosing to the required options press on 'Accept' button. The settings will be saved and settings window will be closed.
-Press on the 'Save' button in the 'Create New Job' window to save the Job.
-The Job will be added into the Auto Job List.
*After saving the Job the tool will start that Auto process.
-Select any Job from the Auto Job List.
-Press on the 'Edit' button.
-'Edit Job' window will be displayed.
-After editting the Job Press on the 'Save' button to save the changes.
3)Deactivate a Job:-
After adding/editting a Job it will be in active state. i.e the tool will be in a state of watching the assigned Watch Folder to process PDF files.
Deactivate a Job means Pause a Job from its process. After deactivate a Job it will not watch the folder and will not process untill you activate the Job again.n.
-To deactivate a Job, select the Job you want to deactivate in the Auto Job list.
-Press the 'Deactivate' button(first button just above the Auto Job List)
-After deactivate a Job the Status column text in the Auto Job list will be changed as 'Deactivated' and also the color of that row will be changed to Golden.
4)Activate a Job:-
A deactivated Job can activate using the 'Activate' button.
-Select the deactivated Job from the Auto Job List.
-Press on the 'Activate' button(second button just above the Auto Job List)
-After activate a Job the Status column text in the Auto Job list will be changed as 'Active' and also the color of that row will be cleared.
5) Delete a Job:-
-Press on the 'Delete All' button to delete all existing Jobs.
-Or press on the small 'Delete' button (third button just above the Auto Job List) to delete the selected Job from the Auto Job List.
-A progressbar will be displayed as shown below:
6) View Log of a Job:-
Log means the details of Automatic file conversion process done by each Job.
Log can view in any of following two methods:-
a)Double click on the Job in the Auto Job List( or select a Job in the Auto Job list and press on the 'View Log' button - fourth button just above the List).
A popup window contains the log data will be displayed as shown below:
b)Press on the 'Report' tab in the main window. Information about all automatically processed files will be available in the Report Section
a) You can save any number of Jobs to watch different folders.
b) Even after closing the Tool Window, the tool icon will be shown in the system tray(bottom right of desktop) means the tool is running as background.
(to exit the tool: mouse right click at system tray tool icon and click on 'exit' button)
c) Auto Job will be active when the tool is running as background also.
d) The tool will watch the input folder continuesly and when a PDF file falls into the input folder it will automatically create coresponding image
files in the output folder without any prompt.
e) Setting of a Job is a one time process and you only need to copy PDF files into the input folder next time without touching the tool.
f) The tool can run in the system background(silent) and the icon will be shown in the desktop toolbar.
